Winter—the honest season!
No wishy-washy cold one day; tantalizing warmth the next. Out come the heavy coats; insulated footwear and gloves—anything to protect our fragile human skin. With Winter officially a few weeks away, our dogs took no chances either...
Some came in their furs...

Others wore coats...

Some wore hats with bells...
Others rushed in wearing red...

And some chose not to walk at all!
Back some fifteen years ago, a brazier of hot chestnuts smoking in the Long Meadow constituted what would later be known as Bark! The Herald Angels Sing. It was a much smaller crowd back then, led in song by Steve Heinzerling and his dog, Jasmin.

Now we're up to a half dozen coffee urns and plastic tables; coffee and hot chocolate; Connie Marder's mulled cider coupled with Gene Kahn's early morning "wonder broth". While the event has grown in size, we and our canine companions still share Steve's sense of community.

But know there's no time for calorie counting - drooly mouths lie waiting....
Waiting.....

Waiting....
Waiting in singles or by the bunch

Sing In The Old; Sing In The New!

Holiday Carolers & Jane Landis belt out a dog-centric version of the Dreidle Song....
I have a little puppy
He runs around all day
And when I feel like napping
That's when he wants to play
(chorus)
Oh puppy puppy puppy
You run around all day
Oh puppy puppy puppy
Why must you always play?
You've chewed up my best slippers
You've eaten my cellphone
And all I ask for Chanukah
Is leave my rug alone
(chorus)
It's lucky you're so fuzzy
And cute and cuddly
I guess that's why I keep you
Though you're driving me crazy
(chorus)

Naughty or Nice?
Errr.... Naughty but nice?
How about: "Don't ask; don't tell!"
